Her parents, devout Turkish Arab Alawites, think that her daughter should get married. Despite many attempts of rebellion Berlin can lead not an independent, self-determined life. She would much rather be a stewardess, than to be search by her family a man. Her only hope is to attain through marriage a little more freedom.
