Consumed by jealousy because Revan only had eyes for Reny, Selvi manipulated a foreman named Degol to murder her rival. In the ensuing chaos, Degol shot both Reny and Guntur. The crime was covered up with a lie that the two had eloped together, leading a heartbroken Revan to eventually marry Selvi.
