They both fall in love with Haldun, whom they meet during this period. Although Haldun is initially interested in Gamze, he later marries Nazan. Gamze leaves Istanbul to forget her love. Nazan, tired of Haldun, is having a secret affair with Memduh. Nazan dies in a traffic accident while trying to escape to Europe with Memduh. On the same day, Haldun mistakes Gamze for Nazan when he sees her. Gamze tries to explain the truth, but Haldun refuses to listen to her. Years later, they have a baby named Harun. Meanwhile, Memduh has returned from Europe and, mistaking Gamze for Nazan, has set out to find her. Gamze, trying to save her family, agrees to meet with Memduh to explain everything. When Haldun enters the room during the meeting, he misunderstands everything.
