0.00 8 minutes Suspension is an early piece from 1997, my first solo video work investigating media imagery. 100 still images of various models and celebrities taken from magazines were videotaped at fixed intervals. This material was then distorted and broken down through a process of recording and re-recording, gradually corrupting the analog signal and causing the images to become interwoven and unstable. With an original score improvised in real time by Jason Kleidosty during the final pass of image processing.
